The Center for Holocaust, Human Rights & Genocide Education depends on your support to carry out its mission. With your help:
We educate students in public, private and parochial schools throughout the state.
- $54 gives one school our books To Tomorrow’s Children and A Tribute to Holocaust Survivors in our Community.
- $500 provides one class with a Holocaust/genocide writing or art workshop.
- $1,500 provides one school with Etty: A Conversation, a 3-part, one day workshop for students and teachers.
- $2,500 underwrites a one-day Leadership Training conference for 80 middle school students.
- $20,000 covers the cost of 40 workshops at our Annual Colloquium for the 2,500 students who attend.
We train teachers.
- $36 provides a copy of To Tomorrow’s Children and the DVD Soulsaving: Common Threads of Kindness with lesson plans.
- $360 underwrites one scholarship to our two-week Summer Fellowship Institute on Holocaust, genocide and human rights studies on the Brookdale Community College campus.
- $1,200 covers the cost of a Curriculum Workshop for 25 teachers.
- $2,000 pays for a Visiting Scholar for our Summer Fellowship Institute.
We provide the community with resources.
- $100 purchases books and media for our library.
- $1,500 covers the cost of a guest lecturer.
- $3,000 underwrites the Armenian Genocide Remembrance program.
- $15,000 provides a two-day Bias Crime Education Program for 50 Law Enforcement Officers.
Tribute donations, in honor or in memory of a loved one, will be acknowledged to your designated recipient by the Center as well as listed in the Annual Review.
