We Must Act: Crisis in Somalia

YOU CAN HELP!

Join the Center and the American Refugee Committee to learn how you can take action to aid the victims of the famine in Somalia.

On November 17, 2011, Daniel Wordsworth, President & CEO of the American Refugee Committee, and Said Sheik-Abdi, Program Manager of the Somali Advisory Council updated an audience at Brookdale Community College on the current crisis.

Together with the American Relief Agency for the Horn of Africa (ARAHA), the American Refugee Committee is distributing food, clean water contains, cooking pots and utensils to hundreds of families. The organization is also providing medical care, helping to restore water sources, fixing hospitals damaged from the fighting and delivering other essential humanitarian essentials.

Students and other people around the country are raising funds and awareness by knocking on doors, collecting money at malls, holding car wash and bake sales and other activities.
